SOURCE is a one-of-a-kind event for the Boston area:
A computer security conference that combines business, technology, and software development, and provides an opportunity to share ideas, insights and opportunities. SOURCE is focused on three tracks designed to maximize the value of the experience for all who participate, regardless of technical level. There is something here for everyone who deals with security issues on a day-to-day basis.

Tracks
Breakout sessions will include panels, talks, workshops and other security-related demonstrations. Sessions are organized in to three tracks.

TRACK 1: Application Security

The days of defending your systems by simply deploying a firewall and intrusion detection system are long over. Today's application attacks easily bypass standard defense mechanisms and can allow attackers access to an enterprise's most valuable asset: confidential data.

The Application Security track gathers leading security industry experts to discuss the latest methods attackers are using to penetrate applications, as well as best-of-class defense techniques for your systems.

TRACK 2: Business Focus

Security threats are at an all-time high, and a single break-in can cost an organization billions and even trillions of dollars. It is obvious that data security is affects organizations regardless of industry. This has created opportunities for computer and data security professionals to capitalize on their talents and for one time hackers to move out of their basements and into an office. Securing your enterprise against today's threats requires balancing business and security requirements, and technology alone cannot solve the problem.

This track will include discussions and talks about computer security as an industry and a business, the impact of computer security in the management and business communities, and discussions and panels from CEOs and executives from top security organizations. Discuss the challenges inherent to communicating security threats, mitigating risks, and preventing breaches of confidentiality.

TRACK 3: New Technology

Technology today is moving along at such breakneck speed that it is daunting to try and keep up, and security technology is no different. There are so many vendors out there offering security products that it can be difficult to sort it all out. A quick glance through a list of security vendors will yield everything from stand-alone products to full-scale enterprise security solutions, including things like identity management, secure data storage and secure software development.
